Baseball Coaches at The Zone:
We welcome, Jayson Gore, Dave Walker, Russell Petrick and Ben Palau to the Zone
Sportsplex Baseball Training Staff. The following is a brief
summary of each coach's playing and coaching experience.
Jayson Gore :
I have played College
Baseball as both and outfield and pitcher. I am the current
Bainbridge Island High School head coach.
Dave Walker:
I have played for the the following schools: Bainbridge Island High
School (P, 2B), Olympic College (P, 2B, SS), and Central Washington University
(P).
My coaching experience includes years in Little League, Pony Baseball, Babe
Ruth, Senior Babe Ruth, and as the coach and coordinator for the Grand Slam
Baseball Camps.
My desired areas of coaching are hitting, infield, and pitching.
Russell Petrick :
I played baseball for two years as
both a left-handed starter and reliever at Bellevue Community
College. I received a full-ride baseball scholarship to Gonzaga
University, but instead I chose to join the Baltimore Orioles
Baseball organization and played four seasons in their program.
Ben
Palau:
My coaching experience includes over 6 years in Silverdale Pee Wee youth
baseball for ages from 8-12 years old.
I am comfortable coaching most aspects of the game but my desired areas of
coaching are infield, outfield, catching, and hitting.
