SPRING TRAINING: - COMING DECEMBER 2010
Start practicing for baseball and softball now with Spring Training classes at The Zone Sportsplex. Led by Coach Dave Walker, this co-ed class will help prepare your player for the upcoming season and will provide lessons in fielding, hitting, & base running , with added instruction on catching and pitching.  Ages 8-10 / 11-12

ALL-STAR TRAINING:  - COMING DECEMBER 2010

SMALL GROUP TRAINING: - COMING DECEMBER 2010
Led by Bainbridge Island High School Coach and former NCAA Pitcher & Outfielder Jayson Gore, and Russell Petrick from the Baltimore Orioles Baseball Organization this specialized training program is designed to provide each athlete with maximal instruction through a 4:1 player to coach ratio.  Lessons in hitting, pitching and fielding will help your ball player to build the  fundamentals necessary to  succeed on the field.  Ages 10-13, maximum 16 kids

Baseball Field:

• The only indoor baseball field in Kitsap County.

• The turf field is 100x100 with room to do at least 80+ foot base paths.  There are foul lines as well as home plate and batters boxes painted into the turf

• The entire field is netted with a ceiling height of 30 feet.

• The entire facility is climate controlled.

• The field is available for rent by the hour if it is available.  To inquire about rental availability, please contact The Zone at (360) 697-ZONE (9663).

Batting Cages:

• Kitsap Counties only indoor batting cages featuring dual baseball/softball machines

• Cage 1 - speed set for early little league age and has both fastpitch softball and baseball.

• Cage 2 - speed set for mid-late age little league age and has both fastpitch softball and baseball

• Cage 3 - baseball speed set to babe ruth through college age.  Softball is SLOWPITCH softball.

• The machines are ATEC (the choice of MLB)

• The cages are available for rent by the half hour or full hour or walk up customers using tokens purchased at the front desk.  To inquire about rental availability, please contact The Zone at (360) 697-ZONE (9663).

Hitting/Pitching Tunnel:

• 16x70 hitting and pitching space.

• The tunnel has a little league and a middle school/high school mound

Adult Wiffleball League:  Rules here

Wiffleball League - There you stood at home plate… three balls, two strikes and you were the game winning run. Your neighborhood friend stood on the mound concentrating on the next pitch trying to end the game with a strike out. Here comes the pitch… WHACK… the ball soars over the left field fence and your team wins the game. We all had these games in our backyard as a kid and now you can relive those glory days of Wiffleball at The Zone Sportsplex.    

In Wiffleball, up to four players patrol the field but up to 10 can be in the batting order. Games last six innings, and batters strike out if they miss the ball three times or if the ball lands in the strike-zone square three times.  Good defense and a crafty pitcher, could make the difference in a low-scoring contest.
